Contrary to opinion, USIU IT club has been revamped to cater for all students and not only those undertaking a BSc in IST
or APT.  We as the IT club believe that computing is more of a talent than science. The club’s functions are basically
categorized as follows:

• Technical Support and Consultancy
• Identification and nurturing computing talent
• Learning platform and provision of tutorials and tutors
• Support other clubs

Talents Available:

The current members have the following varied skills in novice, intermediate, and expert levels:
  

Programming and Scripting languages:.NET(C, C++, C#, and Visual Basic), Java, PHP, AJAX, CSS, XHTML, HTML5, ASP,
MySQL, SQL

 

Operating System:Linux, Solaris, Windows DOS, Mac Os, Android, and All later Windows

Networks: Network Essentials (OSI Model), Security Fundamentals, Storage and Database Fundamentals
and IP Voice Fundamentals, Cisco Packet Tracer.

Fundamentals and Miscellaneous: MS Office, Open Office, Adobe Master Suite (Adobe: Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash,
Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Bridge).
